The following photos show what a variety of hydrogeologic wonders we examined and learned about during the WGWA 2010 Field Trip. They supplement the field trip guidebook prepared before the trip began and reference the Stop numbers in the guidebook.

Stop #1.
Of the 7 ports in Kallina’s multiport well, port #7 at 300 feet is the deepest and is at the bedrock interface. There was some controversy over whether the borehole samples were beach or underflow deposits and several joined the discussion. All joined an interesting exercise in measuring heads in each port.
